Description of the municipality

Villamediana is, above all, an industrial and commercial area that has a long-standing winemaking tradition and a high number of wineries that belong to the Vivanco group.

Barley, fruit trees, wheat, olives and vineyards are the main crops covering the town’s arable land. Nevertheless, irrigated crops are much more important for the economic structure of the municipality.

In recent years, the construction sector has prospered thanks to the continued growth of its population, which has led to the presence of more services in the locality.
