Pagos del Rey Project started in 2002 with the aim of making quality wines in the most prestigious wine making regions in Spain, with wines with their own personality. The company has wineries in Ribera del Duero, Rioja, Rueda and Toro. All of them have a modern design that combines tradition and innovation, and the latest technology in wine making.

The winery, one of the largest in La Rioja, is located next to an ancient river bed with views of the Rioja Alavesa mountain peak. It combines tradition with modern architecture. Huge chimneys and steel covers dominate the landscape rather like a ship. Yet, Fir wood pillars don the delicate barrel cellar.

The statue of a lady harvester carrying a basket of grapes on her head stands proudly at the entrance of the Pagos del Rey winery. She is a symbol of the long tradition of winemaking in the region.

The Solís family works in partnership with more than 1,000 family-owned vine growers covering 3,500 hectares across La Rioja.

Our winemakers combine tradition with modern techniques to create excellent deep red wines typical of Rioja. Our privileged position in Fuenmayor also allows us to literally have the ‘pick of the crop’. We take advantage of the different ripening cycles of the regions and grape varieties to create our excellent wines.

Our Pagos del Rey La Rioja winery was opened in 2006.
