Bodegas Valoria
Great wines from Rioja since 1860
Bodegas Valoria is one of the most ancient and classic wineries from the DOC Rioja. The origin of the winery dates back to 1860 when the Pérez Foncea family founded the initial winery in a “calado” (a cave) in the village of Fuenmayor, village with a great viticulture prestige in Rioja Alta.
Bodegas Valoria is situated in the Rioja Alta in the south bank of the Ebro river, next to La Grajera Natural Park.
This area is influenced by the confrontation of two opposed climates: the Atlantic and Mediterranean, providing soft temperatures and limited rainfall (400L/m2). We find clay-calcareous, clay-ferrous and alluvial soils. It’s a privileged and perfect environment for vineyards.
'By the end of the 80’s, Bodegas Valoria took the definitive leap to its commercial growth and to strengthen its quality image. In 1988 the winery moved to a new facilities situated only 5Km away from Logroño city, right on the Camino de Santiago and at the gates of La Grajera Natural Park.
