Ollauri
Rioja Alta

Ollauri

Cereals, potatoes and sugar beet are the main crops grown in the village, followed by winemaking, with a number of wineries that mainly produce aged reds.

Ollauri is home to well-known wineries such as Paternina, Berberana or Beronia, which have made it famous through the quality of their wines, as well as the neighbourhood containing the traditional wineries at the top of the village.

Although there are some very old wineries, many of them date from the last third of the 19th century, a period in which winemaking expanded considerably in Rioja Alta.

In contrast, the lower part of the village is where the most emblematic buildings are located, such as the church of San Salvador or the mansion of the Marquises of Terán.
