Manjarrés

The word Manjarrés comes from Maiarrex, ‘Majada del Rey’ in Spanish (literally, ‘the King’s sheepfold’).

Ceramic remains and a pottery were found near San Martín, next to the river; they were both of Roman origin, coinciding with similar discoveries made in the archaeological sites at San Cristóbal.

The most important building its the Palace of the Ramírez de Arellano family, opposite the church.
