Torre de Oña
This estate winery is located within the ‘Golden Mile’ of Rioja Alavesa, in Páganos-Laguardia.
In an idyllic setting, surrounded by a silent sea of vineyards in the heart of Rioja Alavesa, lies Torre de Oña. Guarded by the Sierra de Cantabria, its soil exudes the soul of a privileged vine. Tempranillo and Mazuelo thrive in nearly 100 hectares of powerful vineyards that flank its spectacular neoclassical manor and stone-built winery. An unparalleled blend of tranquility, harmony, and pleasure, it is a feast for the senses.
Some of its vines are centuries old, situated at an almost altitude limit, which in good years delivers exceptional quality. As with the great 'châteaux,' each plot enjoys a unique temperament thanks to its orientation, slope, and the age of its vines. This is how its wines—Finca Martelo, Finca San Martín, and its latest release, El Camino—are crafted. El Camino marks the brilliant debut of the ‘Artisan Vineyards’ project, which has enabled the recovery of old, highly valuable vineyards located in the idyllic landscapes of Rioja Alavesa, some of which were at risk of abandonment or disappearance.
