About the winery

Bodegas DAVID MORENO is a family winery located in La Rioja Alta. We use Tempranillo and Garnacha variety for Reds and Viura for White wines. After a meticulous selection of the grapes, we elaborate a complete range of quality wines: whites, rosés and red youngs, crianzas, reservas and grandes reservas under the brand DAVID MORENO and MONASTERIO DE YUSO. We call our author wines DON BILDUR and VOBISCUM.

Our wine tradition goes back to 1912 when Ponciano Moreno built the first winery with a capacity of 18,000 liters. In 1963 the family moved to Barcelona looking for a better future than the agricultural towns of that time. At the end of 1981, David Moreno decided to leave his position as Technical Engineer to return to his village, put into practice the wine knowledge that his grandfather and his father had transmitted to him and make of his DREAM of being a winemaker a reality.

In 1988 the construction of the current winery began, which has been expanding very little by little, adapting to our growth, new technologies and the needs of our customers.

Our winery provide our wines with the unbeatable temperature and humidity conditions necessary for their proper aging and their subsequent conservation in the bottle.

In a corner of La Gran Cueva we find the Vobiscum Sanctuary, a lattice space that holds a small batch of the best french oak barrels where our Signature Wine ages.

The walk through the cellar reveals many corners that tell us about the history, the culture and the passion of DAVID MORENO for wine.
