Quel
The name Quel comes from the Arabic Qalat, meaning ‘castle’; indeed, its castle is one of the symbols of the town.
The remains of the castle stand on large hill, with the town bathed by the waters of the River Cidacos below.
The neighbourhood of the wineries is well-known for its traditional production processes, passed down through the generations while maintaining the essence and legacy of Quel.
Its cuisine features products such as plums, button mushrooms and asparagus.
