12 months in American and French oak barrels. The vines that give life to Ontañon Crianza 2014 grow in the foothills of the Sierra de Yerga, on the left bank of the Ebro River in Rioja Oriental. The grape bunches need the heat of the day in summer and the cool nights to reach full phenolic maturity. The wines from this mountainous region of Rioja are renowned for combining acidity with an elegant and dense fruit profile, with mineral and herbaceous notes typical of this unique terroir. It presents aromas of black fruits with spicy tones. It pairs especially well with red meats, game, Iberico cured meats and cured cheeses.
