VARIETY: Tempranillo. The Tempranillo clusters are compact, medium-large in size, with thick-skinned, small grapes. It boasts a high concentration of tannins alongside medium acidity.
AGING: 12 months in barrel (50% French oak and 50% Caucasian oak), followed by at least 12 months in bottle. Hand-harvested in the second week of October, in open boxes of 18-20 kilos. Selection in the field from the family's oldest vines, focusing on vines with fewer than four grape clusters per vine. Grapes are stored in refrigerated chambers at 5°C for processing the following day. Cold pre-fermentation maceration and spontaneous fermentation.
VINEYARD DETAILS: Over 70 years old. Clay-limestone soil. Mediterranean climate with continental influences.
VISUAL PHASE: Intense cherry red with very high depth, bright.
AROMATIC PHASE: A spectrum where balsamic notes embrace vanilla, reflecting its aging period.
TASTE PHASE: Sober on the palate, broad and powerful, with a marked character that expresses itself upon entry. Tactile sensations of pleasant fruit, tannins providing a silky, rich texture. Balsamic finish with perfectly integrated fruit and wood. The whole is flavorful, with noble tannins. Deep and powerful aftertaste, pure velvet. Magnificent retronasal aroma.
