Description of the municipality

In Hormilleja you can fish and hunt or enjoy trekking and the natural surroundings, plus excellent views of the entire valley of the River Najerilla as far as Valpierre.

The local economy is based on agriculture, mainly vineyards and cereals; grapes are sold to local cooperatives and wineries.

Being close to the town of Nájera, many of the people who live there work in its industries.
