Rioja Alta
Treviana
A beautiful village located in the valley of the River Ea (or Aguanal), it is a blaze of colour all year round: green in spring, yellow in summer, grey in winter and ochre and red in the autumn.
It is situated on a south-facing slope protected from the north winds, and the landscape consists of interfluves, remains of glacis covered with sandstone and eroded ridges and hills.
Most of the houses are located on sloping ground, although there are others on either side of the river, together with several buildings for agricultural use.
