Bodegas López Oria
Bodegas Lopez Oria is located on a wonderful estate: La Paul, below the Sierra de Cantabría Mountains. The first vines were planted by our great-grandfather in 1940. Today we cultivate about 20 hectares of Tempranillo and Viura white grapes. Our heritage speaks in our carbonic maceration wines that coexist with our most modern wines.
Our great-grandfather, Angel Lopez "Polilla" began to make his own wine in the cave that he owned in the middle of the town, built at the end of the 17th century.
He was followed by our great-grandfather Antonio "Pola" and our father, also Antonio "Pola", who step by step were growing the winery, but always clinging to the inherited vineyard.
Today, we have taken the witness of three generations, with the responsibility of respecting traditions and heritage in the form of vines, but focused on the creation of new wines that express our greatest treasure, our vineyard.
The grapes of the Bodega López Oria are born in exceptional lands.
