Alfaro
Alfaro is very close to the regions of Navarre and Aragon, and extends from the banks of the River Ebro to Mount Yerga. It is located approximately 70 km from Logroño, 90 km from Pamplona, 90 km from Soria and 100 km from Zaragoza.
It is irrigated by the Ebro and Alhama rivers, being located on a site with abundant water from the Canal de Lodosa.
As well as the Yerga, the other local mountain is Tambarría, which features the La Plana viewpoint, water storage tanks and the remains of the town’s old castle.
Every month, Alfaro enjoys traditions, history, gastronomy, festivities and a series of activities such as archaeology or history workshops, open-air concerts and sports events that make the town one of the key places in La Rioja.
