Description of the municipality

Sotés’ economy is mainly based on agriculture and stockbreeding, although there is also an industrial park, La Rad, that employs a large part of the local population thanks to its proximity to Logroño and the high level of development of commerce and industry.

There are several family wineries in the village, Tempranillo being the main grape variety used. Other important crops include potatoes, cereals and market garden produce.

It also has two companies that provide technology services in the field of industrial automation.
