Description of the municipality

Located in an area previously well-known for boar hunting, the municipality was previously called Villaporquera.

 

The village has an aerodrome (Aero Rioja), where flying lessons are on offer. A complementary activity is tourist flights over La Rioja.

 

The main activity is agriculture, especially the cultivation of beet.
