    Gimileo
Gimileo is 42 km from Logroño in western La Rioja, between Haro and Briones.
It previously belonged to Briones, and did not break away until the mid-18th century. As a hamlet of Briones, it belonged to the estate of the Counts of Ureña and Dukes of Osuna.
It has a viewpoint from where you can see the meanders of the River Ebro, the Rincón de Gimileo, the ‘island’ of Gimileo in the river and the Soto de Briones; all of them belong to a nature reserve that comes under the Natura 2000 network.
