Description of the municipality

Cirueña is 44 km from Logroño in the sub-district of Santo Domingo de la Calzada. It borders Villar de Torre, Berceo and the monasteries of San Millán de la Cogolla and the Abbey at Cañas.

 

The municipality includes the village of Cirueña, the hamlet of Ciriñuela and the new Golf Rioja Alta property development.

 

The most notable feature of its landscape are the large ploughed fields, which gradually drop down in stages toward the north.
