Circular 6/2000. Decisions on
guarantee documents
held by bottlers

As a complement to the existing control measures on the subject of the epigraph and to prevent accounting dysfunctions, thus facilitating the operation and avoiding possible disciplinary proceedings from this source, the DOCa Rioja Control Board Plenary, at a session held on 12 May 2000, decided the following, in relation to the matter in question:

• “The wineries must proceed to return the guarantee documents in their possession that do not correspond to the vintages or categories of wine that they have in stock or that are unused or whose design is out of date, for which they will be reimbursed. They should be returned before the next wine stock inspection carried out at their premises.”
