El Ternero

This is a 250-hectare site in Burgos province surrounded by the territory of La Rioja. In El Ternero the only wine from Burgos with the Denominación de Origen Calificada Rioja.

The only winery there is located in a refurbished 18th-century building.

There is also a chapel, last restored during the Desamortización (confiscation of church property) by Mendizábal.
