CULINARY COMPETITION

What it is

Competition organised by D.O.Ca. Rioja, in cooperation with the Basque Culinary Center, so that students in gastronomy school/universities at an international level can carry out proposals for tapas and pairing with wine from D.O.Ca. Rioja.

The winner will take a culinary trip in which he will enjoy a professional course of tapas in Basque Culinary Center paired with D.O.Ca. Rioja wines, a visit to Rioja, a dinner in a referenced restaurant and a tapas route with an expert in San Sebastian.

Participate

Requirements for participating in the Competition

  • Be over 18 years of age.
  • Be enrolled in gastronomy training in a school/university (on the day of launching the competition).
  • A necessary requirement is also to have a passport and visa, if necessary, to travel to Spain as Finalist in the event of being selected, in November 2017.
  • Participation in this promotion implies the express and unreserved acceptance of the Participation regulations.

Jury and evaluation criteria

The Jury made up of experts chosen by the D.O.Ca Rioja will evaluate all the recipes presented in the Competition and will choose up the best.

The criteria to be observed by the jury will be the following (out of a total score of 100%):

  • Creativity 25%
  • Concept 25%
  • Harmony with the wine 25%
  • Visual design 25%
